Evaluation

This is a blended learning series to meet the needs of elementary general music teachers and students. The student "journal" or workbook is intended to be used as a consumable. It has pictures for students to color and other interactive pages. There are videos to support students with instruction on playing the piano as well as recorded examples from the workbook. The pages are colorful and inclusive of appropriate songs and other instructional examples and materials.

The series does a good job of increasing the knowledge level and complexity of the elements of music from one grade level to the next.

The recorded examples are a combination of "classics" used to supplement the instruction and also piano played examples of what is on the printed workbook page. Those examples could easily be played by teacher using their own piano skills and other resources, but are a nice resource for parents or those with little to no music skills. The recorded examples for "vocal instruction" would be better served
