The student edition has 6 units with multiple lessons involved in each. Chapters include STEM connections, highlights in history and trends making news. The beginning of each chapter includes learning targets, key terms, and suggested reading with purpose steps. At the end of the chapter, students have a comprehensive summary, a graphic organizing skill, review questions, critical thinking questions, apparel applications, and core skills. There is also solid FCCLA integration in each chapter.

The graphics are appealing and diversity is well represented. Good visuals of techniques and processes. Various textile machinery is well explained.
