The textbook covers the content for Programming IA and the programming content for Programming 1B if the students will be taking the Programming IB Java test. It doesn't have file io. If the teacher uses pair programming with the exercises, it will~provide space for students to collaborate. The book has vocabulary words and a glossary at the end of the book. It has a chapter summary with key terms, exercises, case studies, assessments for each section of the chapter. The teacher edition has case studies, teaching tips, and solutions. The publisher will need to realign the Alignment page with the new Programming IA/IB Strands and Standards of USBE as of June 2016.
