Strengths: Pictures are bright and colorful. Plenty of content knowledge however the text is too advanced for Foods and Nutrition I course. Diversity is shown. The physical appearance is not appealing, the color will dull and age poorly.
The text is broken down into 3 parts: Part One: The Food We Eat Part Two: Kitchen Basics Part Three: Nutrition and Cooking
The beginning of each chapter has a small section of what you will learn but not much else. The end of the chapter has a case~study option and two application activities. There is a slight STEM tie-in. There is also a vocabulary section.
