This book has a good introduction to each chapter. Each page has the main topics as bullets at the top of each page, with a short explanation of the topic. It covers the Criminal Justice system completely from the start of the U.S. to the present time. The book also talks about people the students recognize and can associate with. It covers the standards for the course well.

The book has great support services including tests, lesson plans and videos on some of the main topics. The publisher is very supportive with help for teachers. It would be a great book for an Introduction to Criminal Justice college class for 11th and 12th grade students.
