This book was used to create my canvas course and has worked very successfully for me. It is well written, and while it does have some dense writing, it's appropriate for 10-12th grade. It includes case studies, primary sources of graphs and data, an objective approach to controversial issues of the justice system with a multiple perspectives approach, etc. It can be easily used as a teacher resource, and the online student program is user-friendly and able to be used for classes. It does require teacher discretion when it comes to choice of content, because the textbook provides enough for a year-long class, while Utah classes are generally semester-long classes. If there is a new edition, that would include cases and data from 2021 to the present, that would be preferred.
