This is a good resource for students and educators and aligns with all US I core standards and lower grade levels which focus on US History concepts and topics. The textbook is an e-textbook with vocabulary words highlighted. Each page can be read aloud which is beneficial for students with disabilities (i.e. IEP, 504) including 3 levels of reading speed. There is the ability to zoom in and out of the pages to help students see the images more clearly. Each unit contains a review and wrap up section at the end with multiple questions at different DOK levels including document based questions and analysis. In terms of culture, this textbook explains more about the early peoples of the United States, a more in-depth look at Native Americans. It also includes topics of slavery and a better overview of slavery amongst Native Americans and Africans.
