The Pumping Nylon books are a supplementary text aimed at teachers of players that may be more advanced, but also has useful information for beginners.

The Sound Innovations books among this collection are especially noteworthy for their wide variety of styles, and context given around those styles, their detailed lesson plans with extensions and assessments, and their focus on improvising and creating music.
