S.P.I.R.E. is an intervention program that includes 7 levels starting with Pre-Level 1 (Sounds Sensible) and then moves into Levels 1-6. S.P.I.R.E. includes explicit intervention instruction on phonological awareness and phonics. It provides practice with no explicit instruction in fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension that aligns to the story in the lesson.
