Overall, we did not find this resource worthy of recommendation as a primary text. We did not see where this would fit in a typical high school Latin course. Students would need teacher assistance to complete many of the readings and exercises. We also felt like the cultural and ethnic representation was lacking, even considering the ancient Roman context. However, there are definitely pieces of the text that would be useful as a supplement to a better textbook. Specifically, the practices at the end of the book that mimic the AP Latin test.
