Aligns well with middle school strands and standards. Examples/scenarios are called “case studies.” This is a misleading use of the term. It is critical for students to learn the difference between science and fiction/opinion. Vignettes or scenarios would be more appropriate titles for these sections. Material is organized in units that closely match Utah strands. Human development sections are abstinence based. Language seems free of bias.
