Reading Horizons is ideal for older elementary and secondary learners who need to work on foundational literacy skills. The modules provide learners with an immersive reading experience and do not shy away from the foundational elements of the science of reading. When students begin the program, they take a skills diagnostic and a lexile assessment to ensure that they are working at an optimal level. As they move through the modules, students are required to show mastery before they can access additional content. While we found the graphics and design to be a little on the simplistic side, the content of the modules seems comprehensive. There are a variety of supplemental readings to augment the module work, and the resources available for teachers seem robust.
