While this book covers several careers, it does not seem to be suitable for middle school students. There are a lot of assumptions about prior knowledge. This text would be difficult for English language learners and some of our special ed kids with various disabilities. There is a lot of writing expected with this textbook. There are not a lot of visual clues for students.
Career spotlight is good as it covers different career pathways. Some of the projects are great ideas but students should have more choice in how they present what they've learned.
The way they have laid out the book, it's very clear about what we can expect in each chapter.
