Evaluation

This resource has excellent material. It provides scaffolding, skills building, and regular opportunities for assessment. The layout for each topic is clear and consistent. However, it is missing some elements that connect to the Utah State World History Core and would require some supplemental materials to teach. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of teachers who teach timeline/regionally and would require additional planning/resources to teach timeline/thematic like outlined in the core. This resource provides quantity and quality of materials, resources, and assessments. This resource provides materials for scaffolding, standard enhancement with deeper understanding and good assessment resources. The layout is clear, and topics are easily defined and searchable. There are a few areas of the Utah Core Standards that are not clearly included and will require teachers to use supplemental materials. Materials seem to align with the Utah standards for 6th grade World History. Includes a focus on geographical information, cause and effect, and making connections to the modern world. Provides primary resources and content to cover the standards providing educators with resources and opportunities to address regions globally.

This resource has some excellent materials, however there is not a way to print materials for in-person/offline use. It appears to be able to connect to Canvas, which would be helpful. There are opportunities to customize the assessments and add additional assignments. The teacher is able to add or subtract materials from the lesson. Two lexile reading levels available. Many items are downloadable and printable. (do not feel competent in identifying whether or not this resource meets federal and state laws in technical standards) This product has great resources, but not being able to print is very limiting. (If they are available to print it is not obvious for teachers.) Canvas connection for materials is beneficial for many schools, and the addition to create additional assessments and customize student resources is very beneficial.
