Overall this resource is highly recommended. It is appropriate for grade level, includes specific vocabulary words, and has a large quantity of images and videos to add to the text. The information is aligned with NGSS standards and it defines which standards align with each unit. There are many types of assessments, interactives, and assignments for the students. In the teacher addition it has teacher notes to help the students identify phenomena, misconceptions, and use critical thinking skills.

This resource does a great job with teacher support. It has periodic sections that inform the teacher when to propose questions for the students, identify misconceptions, and relate it to real world experiences or student experiences, etc. It helps the teacher create opportunities to observe and ponder phenomena and make claims based on evidence as well as making models, observing data, and manipulate simulations.
Assessments: Includes formative, summative, and guidance measures for interpreting student performances that assess three‐dimensional science learning. i. The resource does a fairly decent job providing ample images and videos to augment the text. The videos have only English subtitles. There are some activities or assignments that have a Spanish translation. There are plenty of assignments that the students or teachers can choose from to have additional practice observing phenomena. There is not specific extension activities for students of higher interest, but there are many to choose from.
Accessible for all students: Engages students using methods, vocabulary, representations, and examples that are accessible and unbiased for all learners (e.g., Deaf and Blind, English Learners, Gifted and Talented, Special Education).
