This is being recommended as primary as there were no other elementary health materials. But that recommendation could change if there were another source to view.
This was a fun and interactive resource for elementary teachers to be able to use for teaching health. It does comply and match appropriate strands, but is not a completely comprehensive source in covering all the content for the health strands and standards recommended in elementary. With that being said, the standards for Health in Elementary seem very in with broad and deep with a lot of content for elementary teachers to cover. I am personally a secondary teacher but I think it would be difficult for elementary teachers to cover all the standards that are assigned to elementary health. This may not have all of the material an elementary teacher might be looking for but it could be a nice supplement.
The resource is very easy to follow, would be fun and motivating for students to use, and intuitive for a teacher to design units and draw lesson materials from. Not all of the materials that were provided were always relevant to the strand or standard but there was plenty of materials that were so if a teacher was looking for fun lessons or ideas to supplement a topic I think this would be a good resource and one that I would use.
