This textbook is a great broad overview of the agricultural industry. It covers topics such as the agricultural industry and what that means, careers in agriscience are covered throughout the text, scientific applications in agriculture, genetics, biotechnology, and classification, and in-depth coverage of plants, animals, soil, natural resources, economics and production and processing. This is a great text that fits the Utah Agriculture curriculum well and is easy for students to read. The quality of pictures is good and they have been updated from previous editions of this text. There are accompanying teacher manuals and an additional lab manuals that can be used to provide hands-on learning for students.
