This program would be a useful tool for K-2 classrooms, not necessarily for 3rd. The books only seem to go up to 2nd grade reading levels. There are different reading leveled books to provide the teachers with flexibility. This program is not meant to be the only social studies program. This program is meant to help integrate civics with reading and writing. The books and activities are fun and engaging. Teachers could easily pick a civics skill to teach once a week.
