I found this resource so much more applicable than any other resource I've read in relation to textbooks, workbooks, or material released by industry professionals. The way that the textbook is laid out, clearly defines what is current in the industry today and does so using simplistic language and easy to follow steps. It even outlines things like what needs to be said on set before actually recording the footage. It is nice to have a resource that supports this because any students going onto a set will watch those things happen and might be confused at first, but if they are prepared beforehand then it will not seem like a foreign concept and will increase the probability of getting quality footage for student led projects. I come from industry and felt like I had to create a lot of material to help them get a real understanding of current industry practices. It is so nice to have a resource that can do that for me, which frees me up to being able to work with a more hands on approach instead of reteaching
