Electrical Wiring Residential covers most of the strands and standards for Electrician 1 & 2. It lacked Electrical Theory and national electrical code. Electrical Theory was used and there is an expectation students would already understand it. The NEC was included throughout the text and referenced however, it was not explicitly taught or explained as a whole. Where Electrical Wiring Residential excelled was with practical application. The text was very easy to follow and would result in students understanding everything they need to know in order to wire a house. Cengage MindTap is included with Electrical Wiring Residential. This online curriculum is an online program that provides formative assessments in the form of interactive computer simulations where the students are simulating wiring a house. Summative assessments in the form of chapter questions are also included. Electrical Wiring Residential would be a great resource for students who are visual/kinesthetic learners.
