Level 4 – Story 8 – I’m Glad I Am Me (68 pages) targets the sounds: ‘ace’ as in lace, ‘old’ as in mold, ‘ld’ ending. The Stories Main Idea/Theme: I Will Appreciate Today’s Modern Clothing.

The story written in manuscript and cursive and includes poetry, games with phonetically regular, multisyllable, sight spelling words, syllables, ‘ow’ and ‘ou’ review, long ‘o’ sound and the silent ‘gh’ review.

Activities also include many things to remember to write a little sentence, with details about the present and past and following oral directions.

Science discusses modern clothing and old fashioned clothes and describes what is cloth. Home Fun talks all about designing your own clothes.
