We Can Fly starts with working with the beginning, middle and end of a story, poetry, reading slant manuscript, using ‘have seen’ and ‘had seen’ correctly, finding action words, pictures in sequence, writing a creative and funny short story, the ‘ending y rule’, blends and digraphs beginning sounds and review of adding ‘s’ to a word.

It continues with a definitions game, remembering the stories in Fact or Opinion and idioms about flying.

Science includes a fasinating study of six simple machines and being an Inventor.
