Level 3 – Story 9 – The Night Flight (60 pages) targets the ‘ight’ sound. The Stories Main Idea/Theme is: People Have Always Risked Their Lives To Save Others.

The Night Flight includes; rhymes, silent ‘gh’, a jump the rope rhyme with ‘er, ir, ur, or, and wor’, understanding humor, spelling phonetically regular words, double consonant, one syllable, compound, and multi-syllable words and activities for the cloze procedure words that make sense.

It continues with review of ‘are’ words as in rare, writing about and describing an exciting experience and idioms about ‘fire’.

Science includes flying a helicopter and Home Fun works with Fluent Reading.
