The story continues with fluent sounding of digraphs and blends:’dr, sk, tr, pl, bl, sh, wh, th’ and emphasized the digraph rules. Again humor is used along with the ‘nd’ rule and the review of ‘st, sp, sk, mp, lp, lk, lf, ft, ct, nt’. It has many learning games and activities all designed to further the reading skills of this grade level.

It includes activities for following campground signs and directions and completing contractions.

Science is about pine trees and forests.
