Level 1 – Story 8 - Molly’s in the Mud, works with target Letter b. The stories Main Idea/Theme is: I Will Help Keep Track Of My Younger Brothers And Sisters. Emphasis is placed on the difference between the ‘b’ and ‘p’.

Molly’s in the Mud works with body writing, sentences, beginning capital and punctuation marks, multiple choice questions, artistic drawing, three-letter short vowel words, rhymes about d and b, sight words, Cloze Procedure and fiction and nonfiction writing. We introduce ‘tongue twisters’ along with compound sight words. Science is about mud and Home Fun has fun home activities about ‘b’ objects around the home.
