Children are encouraged to retell stories using details and who, what, when and encouraged to put description, action and feelings into the retelling of their stories. Given time for verbal practice with other students, they can critique stories which gives the learner confidence for his performance.

“The Tin Can Pig” is especially suited to demonstrate story telling and speaking skills.
