Steps to Advance Literacy Solutions provides systematic, explicit evidence-based instruction aligned to science-based reading research to students in grades 2-5 who persistently struggle to master literacy skills including vocabulary and comprehension. 

Steps to Advance Literacy Solutions is focused on the Language Comprehension strand of Scarborough's Rope. The program is for students who need more support with vocabulary and comprehension related to reading grade-level texts. Students develop these skills through repeated exposure to explicit instruction and guided practice with appropriate scaffolds that fade out as students build confidence, knowledge, and skills.
