Advanced Language & Literature is designed to prepare all students for success in both AP® English courses, college, and beyond. The skills and knowledge that students are expected to demonstrate in AP® requires a thoughtful foundation that supports students throughout their development. The goals of the AP® English courses – close reading, literary and rhetorical analysis, and evidence-based argument – are built deeply into this bookʼs DNA but at a level that is developmentally appropriate for all 10th grade students.
