Generación AP® is a rigorous, student-centered program designed to prepare learners for success on the AP® Spanish Language and Culture exam- and beyond. Intentionally aligned with the ACTFL World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages and Utah World Languages Core Standards for Proficiency, Generación AP® supports student progression from Intermediate High to Advanced Low proficiency.

Grounded in a communicative, project-based approach, it fosters authentic language use, critical thinking, and intercultural competence. Each unit is built around one of the six AP® themes and its corresponding contexts, as outlines in the AP® Spanish Language and Culture Course and Exam description. It guides students from interpretation to production through scaffolded tasks such as email replies, essays, simulated conversations, and cultural comparisons- while encouraging reflection on cultural identity, ethics, and global citizenship.

Students engage with authentic resources- articles, podcasts, literary texts, and infographics- from across the Spanish-speaking world. Units culminate in AP®-style tasks and creative projects that build confidence and fluency. Robust teacher support includes pacing guides, modeled responses, rubrics, and built-in differentiation. Generación AP® promotes student agency and proficiency-based learning through targeted preparation for the AP® Spanish Language and Culture exam.
