The Reading for All Learners K-3 beginning reading curriculum was created to combine the needs and interests of children with the research findings on systematic and explicit phonics-based approaches to reading instruction. Based on extensive research, the program consists of 141 books and more than 300 lessons that combine both fun stories, as well as thorough and systematic teacher-led instruction. The program is designed to build skills and develop a positive attitude towards reading. The use of small, skill appropriate, books helps make progress visible and provides reinforcement of success.
