Second Step® Early Learning Classroom Kits (PreK)
While digital programs are an effective tool for learners in grades K-8, print media is more developmentally appropriate for very young learners. Second Step Early Learning offers a universal, evidence-based curriculum designed to increase children’s school readiness and social success by building social-emotional competence and self-regulation skills.
Second Step Early Learning classroom kits include:
• Twenty-eight (28) weekly themes teach core social-emotional and self-regulation skills through explicit skills instruction in short 5- to 7-minute daily activities
• Colorful posters, durable cards, and engaging puppets
• Very little needed planning and prep time; family resources for reinforcement included
• Digital versions of lesson scripts, streaming media and handouts are also available online
• Staff-training toolkit and implementation planning tools are available to train staff
