Research findings show that Structured Literacy instruction is beneficial to all students and critical for some—particularly those with language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia. That’s why Wilson delivers foundational, Structured Literacy programs to K–3 general education classrooms and those beyond the elementary grades who struggle with reading and spelling with our systematic and explicit curricula—Fundations® and Just Words®. Fundations lays the groundwork for lifelong literacy with foundational skills for grades K-3; Just Words is an accelerated word study program for struggling readers in grades 4–12 and beyond. The Wilson Reading System (WRS)—our flagship program upon which all our other programs are based—directly and comprehensively teaches all aspects of the structure of the English language to students in grades 2–12 (as well as adults) who require more intensive literacy instruction.

Fundations® is a supplemental foundational skills program for Tiers 1 and 2. Fundations is designed to be used in conjunction with a core ELA program. Fundations® utilizes a structured literacy approach grounded in the science of reading to make learning to read fun while laying the groundwork for lifelong literacy. The program’s research-based approach and extensive materials allow K–3 teachers to confidently present a carefully structured reading, spelling, and handwriting curriculum using engaging, multisensory techniques. Fundations is aligned with the science of reading and guides teachers to provide effective instructional practices. The Fundations Learning Community is complementary with the purchase of a Fundations Teacher Manual. It is an online resource available for Fundations teachers that includes video demonstrations of Fundations activities and full Fundations lessons, expert tips, progress monitoring tools for Levels K-2, intervention resources for Levels K-3, as well as other print resources. The FUN HUB is also available, and subscription for 1 year is complementary with a qualifying purchase. The FUN HUB is an online resource that supports Fundations through a collection of online instructional lessons, print and digital resources, on-demand videos, InterActivities, and Unit Test Trackers.
