The Student Workbook follows the 25 lessons in the Rising 2nd Grade Teacher's Package to help students overcome phonics deficits and improve reading success as they enter second grade.

The Rising 2nd Student Workbook Package includes:
- Research-based structured literacy instruction that is explicit, systematic, sequential, and cumulative and delivered to the whole class or small groups
- Pages for sorting words, writing dictated sentences, and decodable passages
- Individual student manipulatives include a series of 7 strips with letters and a keyword that helps elicit the sound(s) associated with the consonant and vowel letters

Student Workbooks can be taken home to ensure a cohesive home-to-school connection as new skills are mastered
