The Superkids Phonemic Awareness curriculum provides explicit and systematic daily lessons for building the phonological and phonemic awareness skills students need to become successful readers—plus intervention activities!

It is designed to support your existing literacy program, including The Superkids Reading Program and The Superkids Foundational Skills Kit.

Grade 1 Set includes these items:

Access to Phoneme Articulation Videos to use with students as well as model Hand Motion Videos for teachers
The first-grade curriculum covers 2–3 skills per day, including Basic and Advanced Phoneme Skills over the course of the year. (Pre-Phoneme Skills are included in Intervention.) Lessons are fun and playful, take 10–12 minutes, and follow consistent routines. They use explicit instruction to introduce skills with an I Do/We Do/You Do format.

To help teachers support English learners, The Superkids Phonemic Awareness curriculum provides tips throughout the lessons as well as guidance on instructional best practices and difficult phonemes for students whose first language is Spanish, Mandarin, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Korean, French, German, Hindi, or Arabic.
