Reporters Francophones follows a communicative approach to learning through projects inspired by real-world scenarios. The three modes of communication – interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational are integrated into the lesson sequences. Each of the six units are organized by an introduction, essential question(s), a suggested mini project, and final project. Students will be introduced to authentic resources and content based on the 5 Cs throughout the content. The units are tied to specific French-speaking countries and offer a contemporary view of Francophone cultures free of stereotypes and appealing to teenagers. Additionally, each unit is presented by a real-life teenager, who is a young journalist (a reporter). A robust assessment program with formative assessments, projects, and summative assessments is included.
