Read 180 builds from phonics to fluency to proficiency and is a Tier II and Tier III intensive intervention solution that supports striving readers, special education students, and multilingual learners, including newcomers. The program accelerates students in grades 3 – 12 to achieve grade-level proficiency by: developing foundational literacy skills through explicit instruction on letters sounds, word parts, and syllables; deepening academic and content-area vocabulary words; providing multiple opportunities for fluency practice with feedback on accuracy, pacing and prosody; expanding content knowledge that helps anchor students’ understanding of text; encouraging meaning-making through critical thinking, and the ability to view and articulate important issues from multiple perspectives; supporting effective expression and language development.

Designed for students reading one or more years below grade level, Read 180 leverages adaptive technology to personalize instruction for students and provides educators with powerful data for differentiation. Built with developmentally-appropriate content, the program is available in three Stages of instruction: Stage A (Grades 3-5), Stage B (Grades 6-8), and Stage C (Grades 9-12).
