opportunity to extend their experiences with new
text through prompted writing exercises.
Reading Response Journals have two pages per lesson to
practice the targeted skill while engaging
students with the connected text.
Students experience the same pages,
with opportunities to differentiate in the
Teacher Lesson Card. These provide more
support and challenge students based on
their level of proficiency
