Our Teacher Planning Companion (TPC) is a physical lesson planning guide made for the convenience of teachers. Although its purpose is not intended to replace the digital teacher's edition, each TPC includes a document that explains to the teachers how the Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs), Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCIs), and Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs) work together to build knowledge toward the Performance Expectation (PE). It also includes an overview of all of the segments included in each grade level, mapping out how the PEs are developed and built on throughout the year. These timelines can be used as a gauge for teachers when planning their 180 days of instruction.
