• WileyPlus also provides lifetime access to the CulinarE-Companion Recipe Management Software, a web-based database of recipes from Professional Cooking, available on any device. The Culinar-E Companion includes enhanced recipe management tools to add recipes and create and revise shopping lists, and lets students edit, scale, view nutritional information, convert measures, and print and share recipes. Recipes can be searched by main ingredient, primary cooking method, or cuisine types. Students can calculate nutritional analyses, and update based on substituted ingredients, organize recipes, images, and videos in one location, and calculate food costs based on each ingredient’s costs. There are nearly 200 Technique videos demonstrating essential kitchen skills that can be used prior to class or for review afterward, or as an introduction to labs. CulinarE-Companion also includes audio pronunciations of over 1,000 terms in the glossary. Unit conversions are done automatically to the next logical unit. Students can add new ingredients to the database.
