This course will provide support for the new Spanish DLI teachers to implement the DLI program by providing continuation to the basic DLI training that the teachers received during AUDII.
During the Fall PL sessions, teachers will be instructed further in the core instructional strategies, including additional practice using the Tally form to ensure the quantity of student language production. Teachers will also review the targeted protocols for 1st year teachers. Teacher will be introduced

This course will provide support for the new Spanish DLI teachers to implement the DLI program by providing continuation to the basic DLI training that the teachers received during AUDII.
During the Fall PL sessions, teachers will be instructed further in the core instructional strategies, including additional practice using the Tally form to ensure the quantity of student language production. Teachers will also review the targeted protocols for 1st year teachers. Teacher will be introduced to the Benchmark 6-week writing process, to the Utah DLI PTC Model and how to make Math lessons language -ich lessons.

In addition, this course will provide support for the Spanish DLI teachers to implement the DLI program by providing ongoing DLI training on updated practices and resources.
During the fall PL sessions, teachers will have a structured opportunity to examine and reflect on the AAPPL results. Teachers will also be introduced to modeled writing practices that promote written proficiency, and an updated Academic Conversation Protocol that promotes oral proficiency. In addition, they will engage in a structured, planning process across content areas using the DLI lesson template and will review and practice the implementation of the Guided Reading Menu.
