Reading standards 5 through 14 of the updated USBE ELA core regard in-text practices students should demonstrate to show proficiency in reading comprehension. This session is designed to show how these standards fit with contemporary reading comprehension research for meaning and knowledge building.
This session will provide practitioners with the following: ? A clear model of comprehension as defined by the RAND model (Snow et al. 2002) and the Construction-Integration model (Kintsch, 2017)
