THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT COURSE. Only for professional learning credit. This course is a compliment and extension to the Adapted Physical Education Best Practices course offered previously. It is not a requirement to take the first course before this one, but it is suggested. This course can be taken by any Physical Educator or Adapted Physical Educator. Educators will dive deeper into what inclusive best practices should look like for students with disabilities in Physical Education, equipment adaptations, and incidental benefits for other students within the class. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Personal Competency Based Learning (PCBL) will also be addressed. Policy, Law (IDEA), and best practices will be discussed and researched. Current trends within the state of Utah and nationally will be topics of discussion. The instructor will also address how to collaborate with others to address the needs of students with creative budgeting.
