This year’s workshop will focus on revisiting (or implementing) the ACTFL readiness standards, the proficiency targets, and the NCSSFL-ACTFL cultural standards. We will also look at the 4 language skills and to better adapt all these standards in the lessons. Based on the participants’ feedback, we will go over the language standards that seem more difficult for students to address. We will also look at the 4 language skills and to better adapt all these standards in the lessons. Based on the participants’ feedback, we will go over the language standards that seem more difficult for students to address. We will see when and how to use scaffolding to help students get stronger. Since this workshop is also for teachers, we will read some literary excerpts as cultural illustrations and will learn how to adapt them to different proficiency levels. Please bring your textbooks/lessons you would like to revisit with us.
