This course is part of a year-long district professional learning opportunity that focuses on building the capacity of teacher leaders in schools to support local professional learning teams. The professional learning focuses on content and pedagogy in science education to help the teachers build their individual instructional practices. It also focuses on coaching and how to share effective practice with other teachers that includes teachers who are enthusiastic adopters and others who may be reluctant to change. The teacher leaders gain confidence and the capacity to become instructional leaders who provide support to their school administration and other teachers.
