Those who already have an endorsement may participate to earn college credit, credit toward a lane change, or 48+ points for recertification. All teachers and administrators are invited to attend.

Content will revolve around learning design principles of collaboration, self-regulation, critical thinking, creative thinking, real-world problem solving, and skilled communication. Teaching students to be responsible "digital" citizens is embedded throughout each of these principles. The focus will be on planning for and integrating district supported digital tools with research based instructional practices for both face-to-face and remote learning using your curricular goals to engage, enhance and extend your lessons.

The class begins September 8 at 4:15 at Timpanogos Middle School.  There is no cost for the course, however, course credit is available through BYU Continuing Education at 3 credits ($120). UEN courses will be leveraged as well for those seeking additional credit. Registration forms will be provided at class on September 8th. There is also no cost if you choose to earn a technology endorsement as a result of this class.   Currently, the course meets in person two times a month. Class times start promptly at 4:15-7pm. As the course is very hands on and collaborative, class attendance is necessary. Those class meeting times are outlined below.   For each of the 6 principles, there will be outside of class readings, projects, and reflections. In addition, a lesson plan will be created or co-created to support each principle. A minimum of 4 lessons will be "tried out" with students.

Parking is available on the east side of the building in the bus loop. That side door will be unlocked for teachers coming to the class. We will meet you there and direct you to the class location.   The first class will be held on September 8th, so come prepared to jump into the course content.  Jamie and I will use Canvas to help us manage this class.  Please use this Registration Link, to add yourself to the course.   The class is designed such that the participants will feel supported along the way, as well as being meaningful to your setting.   (Jamie and I will use appropriate interventions as well as scaffolding to help each participant be successful).
