This course will focus on how to use dance in the classroom to enhance learning and deepen student understanding of the Utah Core Standards. Children are naturally kinesthetic learners. Dance integration develops higher levels of thinking, and increases knowledge retention and student motivation. Participants will deepen their understanding of the dance standards and gain the knowledge and skills to use movement in fun and constructive ways. All participants will receive a variety of folk dance, creative dance, and dance integration ideas and lesson plans to implement with their K-6 students.
