Two lesson writing sessions focused by grades 5th, 6th, and 7/8th grade core requirements.
Three (3) 1.5 hour professional learning communities (PLCs) as a source of efficacy and confidence for teachers, and can result in widespread improvement within and beyond the school level.
Two (2) filming sessions with reflection on CANVAS.
Through out the entire program teachers will be provides coaching by District Science Coaches. This expert support involve the sharing of expertise about content and evidence-based practices, focused directly on teachers’ individual needs.
During the professional learning filming sessions built-in time is key for teachers to thoughtfully reflect on their lesson plan, outcomes, and ways to improve the implementation three-dimensional teaching and learning.
Teachers will be able to debrief the filming experiences with District Science Coaches will offer feedback, input, and reflection. Teachers then have a second filming session to adjust lesson plans, goals, and explore the reflective process again.
