The CITES Associates Program functions in partnership with public schools to help individuals and school teams to improve instruction and systems of support within their individual schools and across the district. It further networks schools and individuals with Brigham Young University staff. Learning and working together they are able to improve the quality of education offered to all students. The Associates program engages participants with numerous readings, conversations, and activities in ways that deepen participants’ knowledge of and commitment to education as well as increasing their abilities.

Here is what you can expect: ? Five two-day sessions over the course of the school year focused on Provo City School District goals and the BYU partnership’s five commitments. ? Visits to other schools within the Provo School District ? BYU provides funding for lodging, meals, books and the district provides participant materials and classroom substitutes ? Conversations are the primary means for creating shared understanding as ideas, beliefs, experiences and feelings are shared and valued ? Unify and focus efforts of BYU and Provo City School District
