This training builds background in the application of the multicultural and global education data. It also provides activities, assessments, and teaching strategies that enable participants to individually develop multiculturally infuse lessons from the Utah Core Curriculum that they use in the classroom. This is accomplished by taking participants through progressive stages of understanding the internalizing the REACH 5 Basic Principles: Including Multiple Perspectives, Culture Is Something

It also provides activities, assessments, and teaching strategies that enable participants to individually develop multiculturally infuse lessons from the Utah Core Curriculum that they use in the classroom. This is accomplished by taking participants through progressive stages of understanding the internalizing the REACH 5 Basic Principles: Including Multiple Perspectives, Culture Is Something Everybody Has, Building Cultural Bridges, Head-Heart-Hands-Healing and Co-Responsibility for social change. Participants are simultaneously introduced to the research based elementary/junior/middle, and senior high school manualism focusing on grade and content area materials, and strategies and grade level assessment tools. The follow-up experiences will be multiculturally infused lesson plans that the participants will use in the classrooms throughout the year.
