Strong Start is a series of training sessions presented by the UPIPS team for individuals in their first three years as special education directors. This may be a designated person (e.g., special education director, special education coordinator, special education specialist, etc.) or a whole team with the LEA. Regardless of titles, Strong Start is intended to support these leadership roles across all LEAs with professional learning, resources, and support through one-on-one mentoring.
